Ruth M Fobb

Funeral service for Ruth Fobb, age 72, of Frederick will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 29, 2010 with Rev. Johnny Flores and Lou Guimesaddle officiating. Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. Mrs. Fobb passed away on October 26, 2010 at a Lawton hospital.

Ruth Marie Fobb was born on August 9, 1938 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Freeland and Mary (Cheek) Unusses. She attended Mason Public School, graduating from Mason High School in 1956. She later received her nursing certificate from Southwestern State College in Weatherford. She then attended Vernon Junior College and received her LPN degree. Ruth had worked for over 30 years at the Memorial Hospital in Frederick and later at Memorial Nursing Center before retiring in 2006. Ruth was united in marriage to Hickman Fobb Jr. on October 29, 1960 in Vernon, Texas. She enjoyed attending church and was a former member of the Apostolic Church in Frederick.

She is survived by her husband Hickman Fobb Jr.; two sons: Allan Fobb and his wife Juanita of Cleburne, Texas and James Fobb and his wife Rosaline of Snyder; four daughters: Rena Young and her husband Randy, Patricia Fobb and her husband Ray Aguilar, Karen Fobb, Thaylia Fobb and her husband Francisco Olvera all of Frederick; one brother: Jimmy Unussee of Chapel Hill, Tennessee; seven grandchildren: Jayliza, Christina and Kimberly Fobb, Clint Pipe, Zachary and Jacquline Fobb and Crystal Large; and two great-grandchildren: Lyric Fobb and Marcela Gallardo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Raymond and Wayne Unussee; two sisters: Nancy Ericksten & Lucille Franklin; four sons: Steven, Paul, Michael & Daniel Fobb; and one grandson: Corey Fobb.
