Famous Divorce Case Over
Bremmer Suit Finally Resulted in Separation of Couple
Iowa Falls, March 28, The celebrated Bremmer divorce case in this count has finally been decided after having been in the courts for the pass three years. Trouble in the family of Henry Bremmer of this city resulted in the wife applying for a divorce in 1901, the plaintiff asking for heavy alimony. The suit was hotly contested and finally thrown out of court. Mr. Bremmer then applied for legal separation from his spouse and at this term of court, a decree was granted by Judge Whitaker, who gave the wife the use of eighty acres of farm land in Osceola country, the land, at her death, to revert to the children of the Bremmer family, there being several who are now under age. The principals in the suit have lived here for a number of years, Mr. Bremmer being engaged for a time in the butcher business and later in the live stock trade.
