Since both parents died when he was young, he was appointed a legal gaurdian (Titus HOSMER) on 2 Oct 1769, Migrated with wife and children to Ontario Co, NY - later to become Avon, Livingston Co, NY (following the path of older brother Timothy HOSMER - one of the founders of that place and surgeon in the Rev War). More children born there. Graves and wife Amy buried in Avon Cemetery, Avon, Livingston Co, NY.
