In one of the most famous addresses given during the Cold War period, on Apr. 7, 1954President Eisenhower proclaimed his Domino Theory during a news conference. The theory, primarily addressing the spread of communism in Southeast Asia, asserted the threat of Vietnam falling, with others following suit closely after.
