Agnes Prudich

Agnes is my grandmother.  In 1930 she obtained a passport for herself (note: she is listed in Ellis Island as Vera Prudich, her actual Slovenian first name is Neza.  She traveled to Pa  with her 3 children, Joseph, Marija and Aloysius.  Aloysius was Americanized to Louis,my father. Marija (Mary) left St.Marys for parts unknown and we have never found her or any of her descendants.  It was quite a tribute for a 40-yr old non-English speaking to leave Hruskarja, Yugoslavia, go to Zagreb for the passports and on to Trieste to board the ship for the US.  She was quite the lady.
