John and Ophelia "Mathews" Chard

1839-1890 | Union City, Branch County, Michigan

Family history of John Chard who was born 07 Sep 1839 in Nottawa Twp., St. Joseph Co., MI and died on 02 Jun 1882 in Union City, Branch Co., MI.  He married Ophelia (Felia) A. Mathews on 10 Oct 1870 in Toledo, Lucas Co., OH.  She was born on 1849 in Michigan and died in Union City on 08 Apr 1890.  Both are buried in the Riverside Cementery in Union City.  John served as a private in the Company D, 1st. Light Artillery Regiment of Michigan during the Civil War.
