Pictured is a good friend of mine, Specialist Six Richard (Dick) Blews. We were stationed

together in Augsburg, Germany, and were assigned to USACC-INSCOM Augsburg, also

known as Field Station Augsburg. Richard is shown wearing the Army Class A uniform with white shirt and bow tie. He is standing next to me (not shown) and we were both dressed in like attire. The reason for this dress is that we were part of an NCO Dining In and this was our uniform, as we were Color Bearers for the Dining In.

Dick was a high speed/teletype systems repairman, and we worked together on the same shift. He told me he had two daughters, but was divorced. He lived alone in the barracks.

I left Germany in April of 1979, and a common friend told me that fall (Sep) that Dick had died of a heart attack, I presume while at work.

He was a joy to be around, and has been missed.
