1. Turner and his wife lived and farmed tobacco on the land in Albermarle Co. Va. His family furnished food and clothing to soldiers in the army. He moved to Georgia in the early 1797 since the 11the child was born in Georgia. Records show Turner purchased

land in Tuscaloosa Co. Alabama in 1821. he didn't have as much land as he

had in Georgia, but he had several Slaves.

1. Turner and his wife lived on and farmed tobacco on the land that he had inherited from his father in Albermarle Co. Va. He apparentgly never served in the army of the Revolution, but the family furnished food and clo thing to soldiers in the army. He moved to Georgia in the early 1797 since the 11 the child was born in Georgia. Records show Turner Hamner Sr. purchased land in Tuscaloosa Co. Alabama in 1823 & he had several slaves.
