Elizabeth Shown Mills is a historical researcher and writer who has spent her life studying American culture and the relationships between people — emotional as well as genetic. A popular lecturer, author of numerous works on generational history, and past president of the American Society of Genealogists, Elizabeth is the author, editor and translator of thirteen books and over 500 journal and magazine articles in genealogy, history, and sociology.


Aside from her reality-based historical novel, Isle of Canes — which reviewers have called a "masterpiece" and a cross between Roots and Gone with the Wind — Mills is best known for two works now considered essential references in the field of family history: Evidence Explained: Citing History Sources from Artifacts to Cyberspace and Professional Genealogy: A Manual for Researchers, Writers, Editors, Lecturers & Librarians. My Daughter is a Metoyer, Her Great Grandfather is from Cane River....This is a very moving story, I bought the book, its very accurate as from what I can tell. I must say, I am captivated by the novel. And being personally tied to this family makes it even more powerful.

I am glad that this heavy book is in electronic form. Will it be linked from TOC to sections 3 and on and linked to the two indicies in the back of the book ?
