Christian Pabst (C. Pabst) served in Co. B, 13 Batt'n, Louisiana (Partisan Rangers) during the Civil War. He enlisted 8 March 1863 at Floyd, LA. It is said that his family didn't recognize him when he came home.

Christian Pabst (Papste) received land in Carroll Parish, Sec. 36, T 18, R 9E for his service in Capt. Glenns Company, 14 Regt, US infantry during the Mexican War.

Christian Pabst was the son of John Christian Pabst. He died 1869; Christian, his wife Mary and a daughter are shown in the Richland Parish, LA 1870 mortality schedule. The family didn't move, but parish lines were redrawn when Richland Parish was created.
