Porsch Edwin was born in Germany and came to the U.S. as a child nd spent the resto fo his life inthe Osgood Community, and died Aug 8,1947. Burial was in the Catholic Cemetery at Osgood. he married Bertha Vetter Dec 28,1903, who proceceded him in death. A son died when small . He left one daughter Mrs. Pat (Mary) Nead, a son in law. a grandson Dennis Nead, a grandaughter Mrs. James Fallis. (RCHS)

  Dennis E. Nead
Dennis E. Nead, 78, of Fort Myers, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2005. He was born December 21, 1926 in Osgood, the son of Stanley H. and Mary J. Porsch Nead.
Mr. Nead served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII and was present at the Neuremberg Trials. He was a 1945 graduate of Osgood High School and graduated from the Indiana College of Mortuary Science in 1966, where he was a member of Pi Sigma Eta Kappa Chapter. He was the retired owner of Nead & Clark Funeral Home in Osgood, now known as Neal's Funeral Home and Nead & Clark Funeral Home in Aurora, now known as Filter Funeral Home.
Mr. Nead was a member of William A. Gilland Post 267 in Osgood.
One sister, Peggy Fallis preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Phyllis M. Grieve Nead whom he married on November 28, 1953, one daughter, Denise Ann (Robert) Clark of Fort Myers; two granddaughters, April Mercado and Heidi Strange; three great grandchildren and one nephew.
Funeral services were held on Monday, July 11, 2005 at 12 noon in the Chapel of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Pastor James H. Rockey and Chaplain Brian Bluett officiating.
Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or Hope Hospice in care of the funeral home
