Robinson, Brian O.
Ypsilanti, MI

Age 67, passed away Monday, April 5, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 23, 1942 in Detroit, the son of Glenn and Dorothy (Ritter) Robinson.

On June 29, 1996, Brian married Cathy Zick in Whitmore Lake, MI and she survives. Brian recently retired from the company he started, Cybertech. He founded the Friend of Jesus Ministry and started the Karate Kids for Christ Organization, where he taught karate to at-risk kids. He held Sunday services at the Washtenaw County Juvenile Detention Center, held bible studies for young adults and did spiritual counseling for many adults. Brian loved boating, riding motorcycles, woodworking, working around the neighborhood and helping the neighbors with repair projects and he enjoyed remodeling his home, which is in the historic district of Ypsilanti. Brian had one major priority in his life and that was that he loved the Lord and did whatever the Lord called upon him to do. In addition to his loving wife of thirteen years, Cathy, survivors include: his two sons, Forest and Brook Robinson, both of Ypsilanti; his brother, Dr. Dale (Mitzi) Robinson Ph.D of Bloomfield Hills, MI; one nephew, Christian; and one niece, Heather. He was preceded in death by his parents. The funeral service will be 11 am Friday, April 9, 2010 at Knox Presbyterian Church, 2065 S. Wagner Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48103 with Rev. Mark Vanderput officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Contributions in his memory to Hope Clinic, P.O. Box 980311, Ypsilanti, MI 48198-0311 would be appreciated. Envelopes are available at Stark Funeral Service where the family will greet friends 2-4 and 6-9 pm Thursday. Please sign his guest book at www.starkfuneral.com.
