Flint Journal newspaper 7 May 1978 RICHARDS - Cornelia E., Formerly of 910 Garland Street, age 90, died Saturday May 6, 1978 at McLaren General Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Tuesday, May 9, 1978. Floral Chapel Dodds-Dumanois Co. Funeral Home, Dr. Roger H. Sharpe officiating, burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Mrs. Richards will remain at the Funeral Home. Suggested visitation 2-4 and 7-9 PM Sunday and Monday. Mrs. Richards was born in Dryden, Michigan, January 5, 1888 and has been in Flint for the past 55 years. She was very active in the Sr. Citizens at Pierce Center. Surviving are: 1 son, David Rose of Clio; 2 daughters, Mrs. Garfield (Olive) Newberry of Flint and Mrs. Thomas (Marguerite) Price of Brownsville, Texas; 6 grandchildren;8 great grandchildren; many cousins; She was preceded in death by her daughter Georgiana Horton in 1972.
