John T Faught

John T. Faught was born in 1882, in Nauvoo, Alabama. The Faught family moved to northern Texas by the early 1890's Lee Faught was born on July 28, 1884 in Alabama. In 1930, the family was recorded in the Oklahoma City census. Lee died in March 1967 in Ponca City. Jesse Faught Mattie Faught was born on January 29, 1888 in Alabama. About 1905, she married George W. Willis, probably in Indian Terr. (OK). About 1920 the family moved to Texas and is recorded in the 1930 Childress County census. In 1936, they moved to California. Mattie J. Willis died on February 4, 1962 near Modesto. She was survived by 5 sons and 3 daughters. Callie Faught was born on May 1, 1896 in Alvarado, Johnson County, Texas. She married Joseph H. Love on December 29, 1918 in Colbert, Oklahoma. Joseph was born at Platter, Indian Terr. on April 7, 1889. Callie Love and her husband died in July 1986 and are buried in Duncan, Stephens County, Oklahoma. Sallie Faught married Everett Gound and lived in Childress County,Texas. John T. Faught married Ida Miner in Kansas City, Missouri on December 29, 1904. Ida was a daughter of John W. Miner and Mary Rogers who were married in Illinois. Ida was born in Hannibal, Marion County, Missouri on December 23, 1883. The family lived in Butler, Bates County, Missouri before moving to Kansas City. Ida died in January 1928. John Faught joined the Police Department about 1910 and was an officer for about 50 years.
