Killed during Defense of Atlanta

Atlanta, GA

The service records of Pvt Benjamin F. Tucker show he was a member of Company A, 30th Mississippi Regiment.  Some of the cards on file show he was detailed to drive a wagon and delivering wounded to hospital at Allisonia(which is probably Allatonia).

There is no card file on his death but family records (of CONN family) say he died in the defense of Atlanta, which was in July 1864.  He left a widow and two children.  His widow married Henry A. Cole in 1867, who was also a member of Company A, 30 Miss Regiment.
