Edgar C Barrett

He grew up in Anthony KS and went threw the school system graduating from Anthony high school in May of 1943. He was active in Boy Scouts achieving the rank of Eagle scout and president of both his junior and senior classes. He participated in sports throughout his high school years and was a member of the 1942 undefeated football team. He was a member of the victory club and was an advocate for Farmers throughout Kansas. He was drafted into the United States Army at the age of 18 in July 1943 and placed in the medical division. He served 3 years before being discharged in May 1946 as a specialist fourth grade. He enrolled in KSU in August of 1946 in the school of agriculture. In college he became a member of the Block and Bridle Club and participated in the Little American Royale. He graduated from KSU in 1950 and moved home to Anthony to farm.

On March 13th 1976 he united in marriage with Shirley Floyd and later came two children and one grandchild who he adored.
