Mary Eason Babcock
Received from Patricia Major Miller
BIOGRAPHY: MARY EASON BABCOCK, My great grandmother Mary Eason Babcock, had lost her husband George Babcock in 1899. He is buried in Aztec, New Mexico. Anyway, she had moved to Arizona and was living with Aunt Stella and her family when she died.
She is buried in a small grave yard about 5 miles north of Camp Verde, at a place called Middle Verde, Arizona. I had a difficult time finding her grave. Each time I return to Cottonwood, I put flowers on all the graves. Great Uncle Earl Ohlwiler, Aunt Stella’s husband, made great grandmother Mary Babcock’s grave marker. WRITTEN BY ALBERT CONDER
