ERROR - This narrative has incorrect dates for battles listed for Sept and October. Here are the CORRECT Dates. SALEM - Oct 9 - prelude to advance on Collierville, TN by General Chalmers. COLLIERVILLE Oct 11, 1863 - First large battle of Collierville. 2nd Missouri was sent around left flank and attacked alone and were "raked with fire" from the Union earthworks. COLDWATER & WYATT - During retreat from Collierville, the Confederates fought to hold the crossings of the Coldwater River and the Tallahatchie River. COLLIERVILLE (2nd battle) Nov 3, 1863
