Learn about his term of service, and use the information to request his pension record. Unique to this series of records are death dates and locations for many of the veterans who died after the war.

According to the "official Roster of the Soldiers of the State of Ohio" Thomas was mustered into A Company on 3/22/1864, and then on June 7th transferred to Company I. The pension card in Ancestry.com shows service in Co A, 68th Ohio Infantry.
