About this Document
Between 1941 and 1948, the Ft Wayne Zollner Pistons played in the National Basketball League. From 1948 to 1957, they played in the National Basketball Association as the Ft Wayne Pistons. In 1957, they moved to Detroit, and became the Detroit Pistons. Originally named for owner Fred Zollner, an automotive piston magnate.
