Aftermath of German bombing at Poltava on night of 21st June 1944. 44-6160 assigned to 96th Bomb Group's 337th Sqn survived and returned to England to continue combat flying. Returned to USA on 5th July 1945. 42-102686 assigned to 96BG's 339th Sqn - destroyed
