Document Description:
Bernard Prell was born in Germany in 1821. He came to New York in 1824, moved later to Albany, N.Y., and became resident of Detroit in the 1850’s. He was associated with the Scholas Brothers in the clothing business. Mr Prell served as the first chairman of the Religious School of Temple Beth El and was active in the Jewish lodges of the city. He married Julie Heller. (from newspaper obituary date and paper unknown.)
